There is no fashion magazine cover more coveted than Vogue’s September issue, and this year, Beyoncé has snagged that honour.
This is the singer’s third time on the cover of the fashion bible; it’s also the third time a black woman has covered the September issue (not including fold-out extensions of the cover), following Naomi Campbell in 1989 and Halle Berry in 2010.
The September issue of Vogue is not only important to just Vogue, but all fashion magazines in this industry. It’s the one issue out of the year that is the most anticipated, sells the most copies, and boasts the highest number of pages – the bulk of them including advertisements.
The reason why it is important is because it is considered to be the time when the seasons change and we make the shift from Spring/Summer to Fall/Winter. It’s a combination of the run-up to the Xmas shopping season, new fall fashion and new perfumes/makeup lines.
Now, everyone should get one copy for themselves. Look inside, learn about new fashion and see you in the shopping centres!
Everyone have to get ready for Fall and Winter, and September will be the best time.
Fashion magazines are not the only one who cannot wait to surprise us in Fall. A lot of the best and most viewed US series are set to come out in Fall. We can’t wait for series such as ‘Scandal’ season 5, ‘The Good Wife’ season 7, ‘How to Get Away with Murder’ season 2, ‘Empire’ season 2, and many more. More on that later, now it is all about fashion and about Beyonce on Vogue Cover…
