Aisha Buhari is an elegant educated woman. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in public administration from Ahmadu Bello University, the largest university in Nigeria and the second largest in Africa. Mrs. Buhari has a Master’s Degree in International Affairs and Strategic Studies (MIASS) from the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Kaduna. She is currently undertaking a Counseling Course on Co-Dependency in the United Kingdom.

Aisha Buhari said she will perform traditional duties as the president’s wife and hopes to support the development of Nigeria’s women and youth.

“The wife of the president has some traditional roles, like receiving guests, visiting orphanages, helping the less privileged people. Also, leading the fight for the right of women and malnourished children, infant mortality rate, kidnapping and girl child trafficking,” Aisha Buhari.

First Lady called for the implementation of the Child Rights Act, which has been passed by the National Assembly.

Even if it means adapting the Act to suit their specific needs, the Child Rights Act must be adopted in every single state of our country

Aisha Buhari stated: “Education is going to be the main focus of the incoming APC government.”

And also assured Nigerians that, despite the need to eradicate the menace of insecurity all over the country and restoring normalcy in the north east with emphasis on encouraging children to return to school and making schools safer.

The wife of Nigeria’s president, Hajia Aisha Buhari, has called on Nigerians to embrace Yoga to enhance their physical and mental well-being.

“It is a gift from India to the world. They have had a success story of Yoga for thousands of years and they are bringing it to Nigeria. We hope it is going to add to the well-being of Nigerians. Nigerians should do what is physically fit for them to enhance their well-being,” A. Buhari

In May 2015, on the sidelines of the Global Women Conference held in Buenos Aires, Argentina, she stressed the need for Nigerian laws that will protect the women from forced early marriages, sex trafficking and other issues Nigerian girls and women contend with.

She raised concerns on Child sexual abuse in Nigeria, sex trafficking and the need for Legislation against early marriage.

Mrs Buhari continues her charity activities, either as the president’s wife or the First Lady. She donated money to 48 victims of the Gombe explosions in a show of solidarity and a humanitarian gesture.

In another development she donated 700 cartons of milk supplement for distribution to pregnant women in Adamawa state.

Prior to acquiring higher degrees, Mrs. Buhari pursued a career in Beauty and Fashion and obtained a Diploma in Beauty Therapy from the Carlton Institute of Beauty Therapy, Windsor, United Kingdom and specialized in Permanent Make-up, Mesotherapy and Miocro-dermabrasion. She also obtained Certificate from a French beauty school, Estheitique Academie in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Japanese Gold Facial and Towel-folding Techniques.

As every elegant woman, Aisha Buhari’s natural passion for beauty and fashion is also overwhelming, and this makes her interestingly unique. She educates and mentors young ladies on beauty and.
